Challenges on the same save game: Slay 10 great bears promoted by Grizzly End, Defeat 20 foes promoted by Walk Softly.
New save game and activate those from beginning: Take It Slow on: reach Skyhold at level 5 or less, Fair-Weather Friends always on: enter Halamshiral with all followers.
Continue same save game from before and activate these other challenges after disabling the ones from above: Rest Easy trial always on in Emprise du Lion: claim Suledin Keep, Rub Some Dirt on It on: slay the Hivernal high dragon, Even Ground on: slay a level 16 or higher Fereldan Frostback
New content from Trespasser: finish all the quests, find all the 4 caches near the wolves' statues and find the 4 items that make up the Taken Shape
Trial of the Hermit
Slay 10 great bears promoted by Grizzly End.
Can be done on the same save game from main game.
Activate the trial and keep fighting bears in Emerald Graves, N of Gracevine Camp or W of Briathos' Steps Camp.
Trial of Temperance - Missable
Rest Easy trial always on in Emprise du Lion: claim Suledin Keep.
Activate it before you travel to Emprise du Lion.
Travel to Emprise du Lion and claim Suledin Keep.
Trial of the Magician - Missable
Travel Light on for "In Hushed Whispers": finish the quest.
Start new Game and play on casual or use a save game before in Husked Whisper.
This trial disables supply caches, so this is why playing on casual is recommended.
Activate the trial before talking with Fiona on Val Royeaux.
Trial of the Tower - Missable
Rub Some Dirt on It on: slay the Hivernal high dragon.
Activate it before you engage the dragon from Emprise du Lion.
Trial of the Emperor
Defeat 20 foes promoted by Walk Softly.
You will have to kill a lot of enemies until you find some that are promoted.
Trial of the Empress - Missable
Even Ground on: slay a level 16 or higher Fereldan Frostback.
Activate it before you engage the dragon from the Hinterlands.
Trial of the Fool - Missable
Take It Slow on: reach Skyhold at level 5 or less.
Activate the trial before starting the game.
Can be combined with Trial of the Lovers.
Play on casual so you can keep on running and avoid enemies.
Do a lot of back-up saves so you will not mess it up.
Trial of the Lovers - Missable
Fair-Weather Friends always on: enter Halamshiral with all followers.
Activate this from beginning.
Can be combined with Trial of the Fool.
Recruit all characters after reaching skyhold.
Forever Marked - Story
Progress the story to unlock.
Obtained after completing Trespasser.
Lateral Thinker - Missable
Unlock all caches watched over by ancient statues.
There are 4 wolves' statue in the DLC.
